This software works on various platforms (including windows).

The features include a component modeler, that creates visual models of the various components of the software, a GUI modeler, code generators, a rule based engine (aimed at managers so that they can make changes to software based on changes in business rules), a standards checker and finally a test automator. They haven’t disclosed any details about how MasterCraft can work in a collaborative work environment, which is vital for the success of these kind of products, in my opinion.

So far so good. But, we have only their word for the efficiency and the promise that the product holds to any software development company. Apart from the only case study on their site, there are no other convincing real life examples. Their promises are not convincing enough, however, that’s a technical writer talking, maybe a software programmer or a project manager can see through it better than me.

MasterCraft: From TCS Tata’s research center has come up with a product called MasterCraft, aimed at software development companies.
