I don\u2019t know if it is bad; but it sure will give ulcers to the purists. <br \/>Take for example how \u2018are you coming with us?\u2019 is brutally hacked to a single word question: coming-aah? <br \/>Or, the totally new form of exclamation: \u2018Yes-aaah?\u2019 that roughly translates to \u2018don\u2019t tell me it is true!\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>Or the usual friendly enquiry \u2018you ate-aah?\u2019 that is the equivalent of \u2018did you have your lunch?\u2019 <br \/>The \u2018aah\u2019 sound is widely used\u2014especially in interrogative phrases\u2014 in Tamil and Telugu:<br \/>\u2018Saapteengalaah?\u2019 (Did you eat? &#8211; Tamil) <br \/>\u2018Varreengalaah?\u2019 (Are you going with us? \u2013 Tamil)<br \/>\u2018Baavunnaaraah?\u2019 (How are you? \u2013 Telugu)<br \/>\u2018Bon-chesaraah?\u2019 (Have you eaten? \u2013 Telugu) <\/p>\n<p>And we south Indians use the same construction even while conversing in English. I think it is a unique fusion of two different linguistic rhythms.
