    Vaiko: Once bitten, never shy

Speaking to NDTV, the MDMK chief said a separate Tamil state was the only solution to the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka and that his party backed the LTTE. (via NDTV)

Only in India you can get away with this. Only here my friend. Vaiko spent two years in jail for supporting LTTE!

But in Gujrat, Modi will feed you to vultures if you tried stunts like this:
The editor of an eveninger published from Surat was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly using abusive language against the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, and various government and other officials for their "failure" in handling the recent floods in the diamond city.In an editorial published in his evening daily, Surat Samna, the editor, Manoj Shinde, attacked several government and municipal corporation officials and BJP leaders, including Mr. Modi, for mishandling the release of water from the Ukai dam resulting in the flooding of the city and colossal loss to the people. The police picked him up on Tuesday morning and has charged him with anti-national activities, including "instigating people against a duly elected government" and defaming senior officials and executives.

Mr. Shinde is an active member of the Congress and convener of the Surat Congress media cell. [via The Hindu]

    CNN-IBN Rewrites Chiranjeevi's Career

In a news article titled 'Fans cheer for Chiranjeevi on b'day', Prachi Jatania wrote, "In fact, there were near stampedes at citys cinema halls during the release of his last two movies - Gangleader and Tagore."

Gangleader was released in 1991 and Tagore was released in 2003. Chiranjeevi acted in more than 20 movies between 1991 nd 2003.
You can ask 'How the f*** can Gangleader and Tagore be the 'last two movies' of Chiranjeevi then?' One, It is CNN_IBN and two, seems like Prachi can't tell Chiranjeevi from Chirrapunji.
Check out Chiru's bio and filmography onIMDB. (Prachi, did you get that hint? eh?)

    Curtains to Caps Lock?

"The antagonism toward the Caps Lock key extends beyond its misuse by 13-year-old trolls and naive users. Caps Lock is also responsible for failed entries of passwords and other case-sensitive phrases. Users of word processors are forced to retype any text that was entered with Caps Lock accidentally turned on." [via Wired]

    Tackling Bangladesh Rifles

"...BSF sources said Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) men opened fire at two border outposts at Harinagar-Kinnarkal area in Cachar district." [Via NDTV]
It is disgusting that we let countries like Bangladesh bully us. I have a suggestion for our BSF: Carry lot of bread.
When you encounter hostile BDR chaps, throw pieces of bread at them. They will jump at the bread, trust me. It is not often that they get to see bread. You guys can either escape or shoot those bastards. Bread, I tell you. If you have Butter Roti you can actually start a civil war in BD. No, don't laugh. I mean it!
I know I sound like a bigot but bro have you heard of Israel? Two Soldiers kidnapped. They go to war. Two.
    Peace!

    How to play the guitar

CORGAN: So how did you get from playing your first open G chord to playing "Eruption"?

VAN HALEN: Practice. I used to sit on the edge of my bed with a six-pack of Schlitz Malt talls. My brother would go out at 7 P.M. to party and get laid, and when he'd come back at 3 A.M., I would still be sitting in the same place, playing guitar. I did that for years-I still do that. [Source]

    Every blog has its day

Chenthil has passed the judgment. Kribs does not deserve to be a top blogger.
Senthil said "He does run marathons, he does organise blog meets, agreed. And he did organise a donation drive after the Tsunami. But that doesn't make him a great blogger." All right, so tell us dude, what makes a great blogger?
By trying to debunk the myth about Kribs you have actually made him more popular.

I am not a big fan of Kribs' writing. But, he has other enviable skills. He is a great PR man. He has tremendous energy. He runs marathons. He jumps at an opportunity to volunteer in times of disaster. He likes to learn up new stuff and pass it on. That's what probably made him popular. All right, he does goof up every once in a while with his facts etc. But Chenthil you don't pay to read him, so you don't have to get your knickers in a twist over Kribs being the top blogger. Yawn. You need to watch some funny stuff:
Balayya on YouTube. Relax my man. Every blog has its day.

That said- yaawnnn- you don't have to be a great writer to be a blogger. That's the whole point isn't it? It is about citizen participation. Blogging is not a literary or media movement. It is grassroots bro. It is personal. It allows me to write sh*t without too much hassle: click and boom, you are published. And, and, and it is free too!

If you don't like a blog, stop reading it. I don't read some blogs that biz school boys write! Me thinks they are a bunch of condescending pricks. So I don't read them.

So, who according to me is the best blogger? I think the Torpedos are a couple of bad a$$ bloggers. They write sh*t that'd make a saint go rape a puppy. They are fun. But then again, hey, that's just me.
We got my man the Madman. He is a deadly combination of stinging sarcasm and eye-opening intelligence. Yeah.
There is this dude who runs unganisha.org. I think he is an awesome story teller. I could list more but I am bored right now.
I'll leave you all with a quote from a Creative Director of HTA I met years back in Chennai. I met him because I wanted a junior writer's job. So, our man showed me his latest press campaign and asked me what I thought of the idea. I told him that it was ordinary. He told me "Opinions are like a$$ holes. Everyone has one. What comes out of it is shit."
    And I told him 'Touch!'

Of course I didn't get the job you #@#@%!
